In order to offer our services to Academic, Corporate and Research institutions and to achieve sales objectives for the assigned territory, we are looking for a highly motivated regional sales manager capable of driving new business by working independently and in cooperation with channel partners.
Education and Relevant Experience
Engineering graduate with an IT background. MBA would be an added advantage
3+ years of work exp., preferably SAAS sales in Higher Education with at least 1 year in sales of library technology (e.g., authentication tools, discovery solution, plagiarism detection service OR Publishing industry)
Skills: (must have)
Excellent communication skills with a demonstrated aptitude for speaking and presenting to both technical and general audience in an engaging manner
Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills.
Excellent sales closure skills with proven track record of achieving set sales targets
Hands-on experience with CRM systems, preferably Freshsales or Salesforce
Hands-on knowledge of MS office and Google Docs
Strong planning, organizing and networking skills
Must be able to travel frequently (10 to 15 days / month) to achieve assigned sales targets
Additional Skills: (nice to have)
Fluency in Regional Indian languages

Principal accountabilities : Key accountability of RSM will be to develop and execute sales strategy to identify and convert new business opportunities in assigned territory whilst building strong and effective working relationships with existing clients and channel partners.

Collaborate with channel partners to assist them with lead generation and sales closure.
Build pipeline through inbound lead follow-up and outbound prospecting
Effectively communicating our Products value proposition to relevant stake holders.
Leading Negotiations, Handling objections and Onboarding prospective customers
Regularly updating and managing requisite data in Freshsales CRM e.g. Contacts, lead pipeline, deal management, sales forecast etc.
Forecast and achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets
To prepare and present weekly MIS reports to the reporting line.
Support internal teams for existing subscription renewals and up-sell in assigned territory.
Provide market intelligence and product feedback to relevant team members.
