Job purpose : In order to meet our User’s “information and research requirement” we are looking for a dynamic customer focused Information Specialist who will be responsible for helping users of our services find the information they need as quickly and efficiently as possible.
Education and Relevant Experience :

Minimum Master of Library and Information Science
-
2+ years of work experience with at least 1 year in “Reference and Research Assistance” or similar role - (Identifying the appropriate database, Customized orientation of specific databases, Mining data , Library tools e.g., authentication tools, discovery solution etc)
Technical Skills: (must have)
Excellent organization and planning skills
Excellent Research and Analytical skills
Excellent Data Mining skills
Additional Skills: (nice to have)
Principal accountabilities : Key accountability of “Information Specialist” is to communicate with patrons to answer questions, provide information and help them find the right resources.

Understanding of Citation Tools and Research support tools

Acquire good understanding of Company’s products to confidently understand the dynamics involved

Provide the information required by the user quickly and efficiently

Conduct customer satisfaction surveys for the services provided

Maintain the data and to provide a weekly report on the queries handled and their status etc

Analyse and deduce the trend in the queries , and further report the same to the management

Collate and provide customer suggestions and feedback for product enhancements.

Gain thorough knowledge about the audience and industry to serve the customer better
